An invitation to a conversation: Redeeming Our Communities event in Chalvey, Slough – 7pm – 9pm Thursday 31 March

Members of the public from and with links to the Chalvey area of Slough are invited to attend a facilitated community engagement event this evening to discuss how to make a safer community and to identify solutions to local issues.

Held from 7pm to 9pm at the Chalvey Community Hub, Ladbroke Road, Slough, SL1 2SR.

The event will be facilitated by the charity Redeeming Our Communities (ROC) which works across the country to support communities to create resilient partnerships, working together to improve the places that they live and work.

The event has been funded by the Violence Reduction Unit and supported by the key local partners including Slough Borough Council, Thames Valley Police, NHS, fire and Ambulance services, local faith groups and others.

Debra Green, the Executive Director of Redeeming Our Communities, said:

“Every local community needs to have a voice, to have the opportunity to come together to discuss the issues that they face and to share ideas as to how it can be improved.

“We know that by involving everyone in the local community – from local faith groups, businesses, local people – we can get to the real core of what people want to see improved and we can build support to address those issues.

“Whether it is improving local services, the environment, making the area safer, building opportunities for young people.  All of these things we can solve together.

“If you live in Chalvey, come and play your part in improving your community. Come and join our conversation.”
