RAW Navigator pilot, Oxfordshire
Working in partnership with RAW Potential (raw-workshop.co.uk) and Oxfordshire’s three Local Policing Areas (LPAs), we have supported the successful trial of specialist youth workers to support and navigate a number of children aged 13-16 who were outside of full time education for a variety of reasons.
The Navigator Scheme offers the referred children intensive one to one mentoring by a social worker. They encourage and arrange positive activities, as well as motivating the children around educational and training opportunities. The interventions are individually tailored to the particular child.
